St. Paul Parish School seeks to make a Catholic education available to all families who wish to have their children attend. However, the school, along with the Archdiocese of Portland, recognizes that some families may still need help in raising funds for tuition.
In an effort to support families, St. Paul Parish School awards over $80,000 a year in tuition assistance. Monies are received from the Archdiocese of Portland, Knights of Columbus, the St. Paul School Foundation, and other generous donors. Additionally, the Budget and Finance Committee of the School Advisory Council earmarks money in the general operating budget to support tuition assistance.
St. Paul Parish School makes use of FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment to help us evaluate requests for financial aid. Each year, during registration time, parents may apply for tuition assistance. If you would like to apply, please complete an application online at:

In accordance with the Archdiocese of Portland’s Elementary School Financial Operation Plan, parishes with elementary schools are expected to subsidize the cost of Catholic education for “qualifying Catholic” students in the parish. Families may apply for subsidy during the registration process.
In order to qualify for assistance, the family must meet the following requirements:
Additionally, the family must obtain and complete a St. Paul tuition subsidy application and submit it to the parish office. It is estimated that roughly 16 percent of St. Paul’s projected offertory income is paid to St. Paul Parish School in the form of tuition subsidies for qualifying families.
Students that are members of other parishes are also eligible for subsidy through their local parish. The requirements are the same as listed above for St. Paul families. Please complete an “Other Parish Subsidy Form” and contact your pastor for approval.
